If you ever date an asexual person be sure to get the specifics of their asexuality because the level of comfort with physical contact is different for all of us.
This is really good advice in general!
General rules when interacting with new people: ask what their preferred pronouns are; ask about what level of contact is comfortable for them; reassure them that they can safely communicate with you when you do or say something that crosses their boundaries.
